LANDRY'S SEAFOOD HOUSE - Voted Worst Restaurant, June 2015
The most important realization that any restaurant should have is that customers who dine out are looking for a wonderful dining experience which includes terrific food, reasonable pricing for the food ordered, incredibly good server attention and service, absolute cleanliness, a pleasant atmosphere, and to leave the dining experience feeling full, satisfied, and happy. Unfortunately, Landry's Seafood House completely misses all the way around on these simple concepts literally causing customers to thoroughly regret ever going to their restaurant at all.
On three separate occasions during the month of May 2015 we sent different restaurant reviews staff to Landry's Seafood House in Corpus Christi, Texas to anonymously experience what Landry's had to offer. They did not identify themselves to any restaurant employee. The feedback we received was astonishingly bad. Getting seated quickly was never a problem, and was, in fact, the only good thing reported. Ordering drinks took upwards of thirty minutes and receiving the drinks took another half hour. At no time was this restaurant busy in any way. The food ordered was in small, sub-standard portions, arrived barely warm to even cold, food flavors were off and not what was expected, drink refills took forever, and there was extensive time wasted waiting for the courses ordered. Bugs were found in the drinks. Even trying to get the check in order to pay and leave took forty-five minutes. The overall dining experience was very poor, and the service was a complete disaster. We asked our reviewers if they would return to Landry's Seafood House in thirty days to update their findings hopefully finding that things might have improved. All of our reviewers unanimously answered with a resounding "NO".
As for atmosphere and cleanliness, the view of the water outside was definitely a high point of the overall dining experience, but it was shattered upon discovering filthy silverware when it was unwrapped from the napkins. Additionally, menu specials and lunch pricing was totally different, much more, once the check was received, raising the expense of the visit considerably, and the manager made promises to correct the overcharges, but never did. We, as reviewers, strongly believe that no one working at Landry's Seafood House in Corpus Christi, Texas takes even the slightest pride in their work, cares even in the smallest way about customers and the service provided to those who pay to dine there, and we 100% truly believe that all of the employees should be discharged and replaced with new employees who understand what service and quality really mean.
Should you eat at Landry's Seafood House in Corpus Christi, Texas? We say, "Eat at Landry's Seafood House in Corpus Christi, Texas at your own risk, and don't expect to enjoy yourself while dining there"!
